Wind Powered Charger / Shore Powered Charger - Black Wire Connection

If you want the charging current to be measured then the black should be at the away-from-battery end of the shunt I think.

This is based on knowing nothing at all about your setup, but guessing that it's like most with the ammeter shunt in the battery negative line.
