Nothing to do with Carolina - I have left TOP.
Perhaps I'll be back but it really does give me the dry rots at the moment - and now we have 2 consecutive threads both asking about what its like to sail the West Coast. Think that is what tipped my balance.

I quite like the snow

I still go there a lot, but post little. There are too many people with tunnel vision.
Too many threads like:
I have £10k to spend.
Spend 5 - you'll need 5 to improve it.
You need to spend 15.
Buy my boat - it's worth one but you can have it for 10
Have you any qualifications
Sail with mates and don't waste your money
Etc
Etc.
Then there are the complete idiots ...
