I was organised enough to keep the bit of plastic straw in the cardboard box in beside the tube of blue grease, and use the same one year after year.

I've been refraining from joining this thread as I'm not sure the topic is a wholesome one for such a gentle and sensitive person as myself

I installed a permanent catheter to my gland, and can pump in lubricant whenever I feel the need. Modified a vintage grease gun to help with pumping.

The post was in response to a Beeb news item of school kids marauding round the west trying to persuade cafe owners and the like to dispense with plastic straws in an effort to save the planet.
