If so, could I start the bidding with a suggestion of The Doric, Market Street, Tue 20 at say 1930?

I've not been around for previous knees-ups but might be possible this year.
Trouble is, the pubs are full of amateurs at this time of year.

I know. That's why I suggested Tuesday as giving the best chance to avoid the crowds. (Though last time it didn't work for the first hour as the place was full of corporate arseholes bragging about their obscene bonuses before they moved on...)

Return trains messed up on return journey as line closed beyond Polmont, so I'm out I'm afraid.
