I particularly like the upturned green sick bowl.

And in all your collection you couldn't find a pic of Amaranthe?

Sadly, that was the weekend I discovered a bug in my camera's software.

I think you're missing the point of the thread though; favourite pics of your (own) boat. Five pages in and you pop up to complain that I haven't posted one of your boat! You must have one to post surely.

Sorry Eammon, I don't know how I missed your question first time through.

She's a long fin Hurley 22. She does carry quite a lot of sail for her size and needs reefing early. The reefs are quite small and I could really do with a deep third but current tactics are to drop the main altogether when required (like last Saturday!) and sail under reefed genoa, which works well as long as ultimate pointing ability is not required.

You must have been more pssed than you looked in the Bon Accord!
:cheers
Why do you say that? actually I had only 1 cider as I was driving that night, regrettably.

We had quite a long chat IIRC and I certainly came away knowing a bit about your boat. I assumed I'd told you how wonderful Silkie is too.

Thanks for the pics Julian. You must have good insulation if you had the central heating on in the last one.

Sad to see this has now been well eclipsed as BM's longest thread by the centenarian burgee announcement and even the vaguely boaty tidal turbine one.

Sorry, no pic of her under sail yet as I have only recently become her owner. Hopefully, come Spring I will manage to cast the wife adrift with a camera for a while.

Despite the sail number, one of the first Folkboats built in the UK, still looking good at 60 and threequarters.

Beautiful, but is the doghouse original? I had thought that early FBs were not so extravagantly equipped.

Love the ensign. :saltire
