So what have you done this year?
Well, I tried to go for the first sail of the season last weekend. Motoring out of Craobh I found the log wasn't working. Nothing new there: normally turning the impeller round 180 degrees sorts it. This time that didn't work. On going up and down the companion, however, I noticed a gathering pool of water on the cabin sole. To cut a long story short, a couple of seals had failed and the trusty VP2002 was pissing hot sea water all over the shop. Back to Craobh with 1.8 nm hypothetically logged.

As of today the seals are replaced and the engine is now continent. I might get out tomorrow for another wee field trial... After extracting the log impeller...

As a child I always found it amusing that Bute has Buttock Point at the top and Garroch Head at the bottom. This probably explains more about me than it does about the geology or geography of Bute.

And Arran has the Cock at the top, and Kintyre has the love child near the bottom.
Some array of odd names!

Edit, that was a very smooth change of words (Love Child) administrater. :)

All my children were love childs, none of them were bastids.
Regarding Bute, I get it that Buttock Point may induce school boy sniggers, why Garrock head?
