Re: Christmas drink - Embra?
The Cal-Mac all day breakfast is just going to have to wait 'cos there's no way I'm driving up to Ullapool wi' all this snow. This means that I am free on Friday to come out and play, if I'm still welcome.
I think you are meeting at the Jolly Judge sometime after 19.00, not Linlithgow, not Jinglin' Geordie's, not the Western Bar (or anywhere else in the Pubic Triangle).

This is probably a good time to remind attendees that pulling out less than seven days prior to the event requires that a postal order adequate to buy your round in absentia arrives in good time to do so.
(OK - we'll take £20 in cash and call it quits.)

Very wise. Never travel unnecessarily in bad weather. I suppose you'll be expecting me to buy you a pint.marisca wrote:The Cal-Mac all day breakfast is just going to have to wait 'cos there's no way I'm driving up to Ullapool wi' all this snow. Edinburgh - Glasgow was running half hourly, but they seem to be cancelled now.

Sorry, duff information.
The half hourly Edinburgh - Glasgow is running. The long string of cancellations shown on the Scotrail site is for the intervening 1/4 hr services.

Looking forward to it. My only concern is getting back if the snow starts (although none is forecast) and the buses stop.
Donald is making a Western Union transfer to the pub for our first round at this very moment.

Oh, what a night. Well that's maybe going a bit far but it was fun. Cheers.

That Border Maid - what a guy! You just wouldn't believe what he can do with a ping-pong ball, a saveloy sausage and a rubber glove.

A fine evening although I really missed the Shards - well Mme Shard anyway. The landlord of the JJ claimed he had no knowledge of your money transfer Donald.
Border Maid's trick with the ping-pong ball was worth the bus fare itself.

I didn't like to say so but I was disappointed that you hadn't brought the tandem.

So was I, and ashamed when I found that Marisca dragged his 2 wheels through the slush.
