I see we were being watched! Back at Linnhe Marine now for a few weeks.

Really nice to meet a few of you on the first canal transit - made it a very pleasant couple of days and a lot easier than if we had been stuck in with the Russian charter boats! Thanks also for the expert tuition on the differences between Crinan and Cally locks.

I'll try to put together a few photos from the cruise when I get chance.

So that's where they went!
We were invaded at Lamlash - about 8 boats appeared and just grabbed any vacant mooring - mostly private ones. Like seagulls fighting over bags of chips After Lamlash we headed for Campbeltown, overtaking a few boats and getting in just in time before the Russian stampede!
We discovered they were on a whisky trail, and cleared out Springbank prior to heading off to Port Ellen and Craighouse.
I'm sure they had some left by the time they reached Crinan!
Nice people however, lots of crew but not very many seasoned hands.
