Never been on the pontoons - might wait and see if Para minds paying!

.
This is all sounding a bit like a plan.

I vote for pontoons on the grounds of sociability.

The facilities are open now and are excellent.

Unfortnately fer masel'. herself wont be there. She was sent to pay (the folding bikes were a complete disaster, more anon whence we meet, so this was a peace offering) and came back looking pleased wi' herself having paid £25 a night incl water and kw's which would have been good (on South coast) 10 years ago. Bet Tobers has risen since they went posh?

Could be a busy place!

The pontoons are fine and the facilities are truly excellent. Very good indeed.

One the downside, the pontoons can be a bit bumpy in a blow. Under these conditions it may be Lbetter to anchor. For us, it's all academic as we won't be on the the water until Friday morning.

See you around, sometime.....

BTW, is the Laird bringing his musical accoutrements?

My current plans are to get to Craobh on Saturday 10 (subject to the currently sick - again! - motor making it). Then I've got a day or two's work to finish getting the boat ready, followed by a trial sail. All going well, I could rendezvous with Claymore on Tue 13 for a pre cruise cruise (if that's still the date you're planning to leave and you let me know where you're going) before heading for Loch Aline on Thu 15. All, of course, subject to weather etc. etc.

Yes, provided enough things happen between now and then. I'll either come by boat or walk over the hill, depending on progress.

I'm afraid I'm out for this one again. Starting a new/old job on Thurs next week so had to cancel some of my leave. Looks like the forecast is on the up.

How long is the cruise likely to last ?

As a long time lurker I ask because I would like to meet up and put faces to names but I fear we might not be able to catch you up.

Arriving in Ardfern on Sat 17th - Sunday to sort boat but able to catch north going tide Monday which inconveniently turns at Dorus early afternoon (I think).

If you are around for the whole of that week we could potentially catch up depending on where you go obviously.
