Looks as if Tobermory Harbour has just announced that although it remains a port of refuge that it is not open to visiting vessels that are not commercial: fishing, ferries or workboats.

Not sure of the position if you anchor off and go ashore in the dinghy, but guess you won't be made welcome.

Tobermory Harbour will remain open as a Port of Refuge and remain open for all essential marine traffic.

Essential traffic includes fishing, ferries and commercial boats, emergencies and medivacs.

Tobermory is now closed to all non-essential visiting vessels.

All visiting vessels entering Harbour limits must contact the Harbour team
on VHF Channel 68 or duty mobile and await further instruction.

A Notice to Mariners will be issued shortly."

Mothballing the boat seems to have been the right thing to do. I hope your boats are within walking or cycling distance.

Well. Looks like there won't be any sailing in the immediate future. Any one want to hazard a guess? One month? Two?

We got launched last week after some engine work (some...)

We do not want to keep the boat in the marina.

We just got the mooring serviced.

We do not want to move the boat in the current situation.

We certainly do not want to be paying for two moorings.

6 days since Geoff started this thread when closing yards seemed a bit OTT. I asked Neil to service my mooring - no replacements needed - slapped on the AF, polished the hull and on Sunday covered her with a tarpaulin and gave up. It seemed obvious that there were just too many eejits, whether too thick or just willfully selfish (probably the same twats that voted for Brexit), to avoid a nationwide lockdown. So, we suffer, mentally and financially, awaiting the first cough and hot flush while knowing that we could have had some respite on our boats. A plague on all their houses! (who "they" are is your choice).

Ardfern Boat Yard is now closed.

No word yet if Craobh is also shut - I would expect that it is.

I did some work last Saturday, when Silvers yard was open to customers (but not open when staff there). There were at least 10 others doing the same, all a suitable distance apart.
But today an email announced the yard gates are locked and all stay out. Not sure what the employees are doing.
At work we closed up shop today, and both sites are now still and personless.
I'm assuming that there'll be zero sailing this year at all.
I'm grateful to have built a nice workshop to make things in. Anyone need anything made??

If I'm allowed on my boat this year I don't give a shyte what the weather is doing, even if I can't sail, or I'll get wet if I do, I'm going to get afloat.

JWD banned me from the launch area, something Dom has been trying to do to me for years - I reckon he really needs my helpful input(!), the mast is up and the rigging has commenced. The decks are filthy as is the inside so a bit of pressure washing and Flash is in order. I reckon Friday is when she'll be ready to sail.
And that brings me back to the question of whether I am justified in travelling to the boat to go for day sails. It's a tad more than 5 miles but a lot less than Dominic Cumming's trip. I have sufficient fuel in the car for return trips and my bladder is up to the journey length. I shall be alone throughout (aaaww!). But then a couple who went for a walk up a mountain today have been nicked by the constabulary though they apparently needed help. I don't know which way the Covid potential works between Inverclyde and Lothian, both are high, but I don't plan to go anywhere other than the car and boat, no shopping, no socialising, no wandering.
The wave of pleasure that came over me when I motored the short distance to her berth was palpable. I expect actual sailing would be a total joy. Is mental health a good excuse?
