Well Eamonn, the top one is on the Clyde, but not Loch Fyne or Inchmarnock. Another try?Clyde_Wanderer wrote:And this one (top pic) looks to be heading up loch Fyne past Inchmarnock??Shard wrote:This one was taken in November 2005, by our greatly missed friend Alistair Naismith, Superstrath;
And this one was taken by Silkie a few months later on CC06;

Donald somewhere between Toward point and Largs, near the shipping lane?
Mmm, on the other hand, maybe looking up towards Loch Striven from north of Rothesay? its the fog thats putting me off
BTW the bottom pic looks as if Ascog patch could be just out of the right of the pic, with Kilchatten bay behind yer lovely boat? (is it a Bruce Roberts)?
Would I be correct in thinking you came across from the Kyles or Rothesay, stayed over at Largs and headed up the Clyde from there?
If all the above is a load of shart, then although I have never been there, but it could have been taken to the west of Ardrossan?
If I keep going I will probably get it right before christmas 09

Re: Favourite pic of your boat
That's very good. The top pic was taken there, with Arran in the background. The lower pic wasn't on the Clyde, but in the West; please let me know if you can identify the background, because I don't know where it is.....Clyde_Wanderer wrote: it could have been taken to the west of Ardrossan?
Yes, A Roberts 34, very good in a stiff breeze; needs to be F4/5 before she gets out of bed.

IIRC 'tis Islay in the background, taken not long after we emerged from the Sound of Islay to head up the Sound of Jura.

Just being nosey, but while in Annapolis, have you come across an Island Packet 40 called “Tinteán” (ex "OKEEDOKEE II")?Tegolin wrote:Attached is a piccie of Rose, at the Dock,

Re: Favourite pic of your boat
Afraid that I don't know where he is - and it's a big area. From memory, he lives in Annapolis, quite near to Back Creek. He bought the boat from Eastport Yachts, which I think is near Spa Creek, so she may still be on the hard there. We used to work together.
