Built for fishing in 1929, "Relief" quickly got into the lucrative rum trade during Prohibition in the US. Having been fired at by the US Coastguard, the crew then thought it wise to stay within Canadian waters, where she successfully tolled for salmon for many years.

How the heck did they get her in there? And will they ever be able to get her out?

She's in situ as a permanent exhibit outside a restaurant (they have another twenty footer wooden fishing boat suspended from the inside rafters in the dining area).

Now that's really sad. She will just rot away tantalising close to, but never in the water. :cry:

Think I agree with you on that, I hate to see any boat stuck out of the water especially one that looks like there's nothing wrong with it.

lovely looking hull, bet she rolls like a pig with all that gear up top, strip that away and bolt a gantry on the back, I wouldn't mind working her.
