A rare sight indeed.

It's wonderful seeing a Claymore under full sail. Sadly, a rare sight these days, with so many being driven about like marinised caravans.

Donald
Don't entirely agree. Here's another Claymore being sailed extremely well just off Ardnamurchan this year.

Flame wars . . .

Post by Nick »

Well . . .

Frankly I would rather not see any more posts with quite as many pictures as the one which started this thread, as even over a broadband connection it takes a while to open and so people can't scroll down to the replies straight away.

:flamesout If you want to occasionally post half a dozen or so pics on a thread then I certainly don't mind as the pics are on your server, not ours. In fact, I would even be prepared to start a separate section of the forums if you wanted to make this a regular feature.

I actually think your site is a great idea - I wanted to do a similar thing myself, but never really got round to it.

I have also give Boatpix a link in the directory part of this site on the Web Resources page at http://www.bluempment.com/webresources.html . if there is somewhere on your site that you can add a reciprocal link then that would be much appreciated.

If you get any exceptional high-res pix that you think would be suitable for our monthly calendar feature then that would be good too. The acknowledgement would include a link to your site.

Picture size

:chalk: PLEASE! refrain from posting pix bigger than 700px wide as it means anyone not on a super-wide screen resolution has
to scroll sideways.

Shard, I have resized the pic that you posted - the copy you are seeing is now on our server. Aja - 800x600 is still a little wide.
700px wide is ideal.

:sorry for nagging . . .

Right Steve, we've got YOUR number now!

I see MrG of Conwy has been enjoying his boat & camera. Excellent pics, I must get out a bit more on mine again now.

Thanks to Donald-the-spirtle for the complement and thanks to Donald-the-lense for the photo.
One of the Donalds knows just how difficult it is to catch the right moment to make a boat look competent when it's struggling for control!! The anti-yaw thing on the towbar was loose I think.

I am privileged to have met T25.

He's a bit of a plonker but it's hard not to like him anyway. :)
