Stavanger - marinas
Any recommendations on a marina in or near Stavanger? (for a yacht)
Geoff.

Re: Stavanger - marinas
Geoff,
Having spent some of 2 summers near there with the boat...
There are not many "commercial=public" marinas in Western Norway. Many facilities which look like marinas are actually private clubs, with very limited (if any) visitor spaces. They also have very long waiting lists due to the sheer number of private boats in Norway.
The "Stavanger" marinas are busy, expensive and noisy. Due to Commercial traffic - ferries and supply boats. Tananger is a little further out but not bad for access.
Sandnes, up the Gandfjord behind Stavanger is OK.
PM for more details?
Graeme

I recommed Vagen. It`s right in the old town of "Skagen". Infrastructure (water / electricity) is available.
