So , years ago, a screensaver popped up on my PC at work. it was a view of Reine. Inspired I thought I must go there one day. So now we are here and no picture really does it justice ....

Re: oop north
I don't see a wind vane, (something that we've been thinking about but done sweet FA to resolve it....), so how was the passage across?

Re: oop north
Good in parts
. Got ourselves up to Lerwick waited for weather window. Departed Lerwick with 4 days weather looking good - intending to sail straight to Lofoten. 2 crew (out of 5) hit with seasickness so put into Balta. Recovered next day headed off, wind didn't pan out so put into Ålesund, weather looked good next day so sailed the next 3 days north to Reine in Lofoten. Sunny and balmy as we crossed the Arctic circle. Horizontal hail as we arrived in Reine, so a mix of everything. Stunning cruising area, just feels like we are scratching the surface of it.Windex was a bit discombobulated by trip, but top windspeed was 30knts just as we arrived in Reine, so I guess we were lucky.
