Talking of your living room, I still await the proper presentation of the C John Taylor tea towels.................... a burgee competition some years ago. They should be very valuable collectors items by now. Perhaps over a pint somewhere?

The genoa is still a fine sail, its a shame the main is such a mishapen rag

There used to be one with the music to his "famous waltz", Islands of Beauty. It had anywhere between 2 1/2 and 4 1/2 beats to the bar, distributed more or less at random. I wish I'd bought one.

Is his wonderful emporium still there by the ferry to Easedale?

Answer required urgently; we have guests arriving from the south tomorrow; I wouldn't don't want to misrepresent that corner of Argyll on the journey there.

Just Seil and Inveraray survive, I see. How many were there at the height of the empire? I can remember one in Oban and I am pretty sure he had an outlet at Luss as well.

I'm fairly sure there was one at Calander too. Not that I was ever in it, you understand...

If visiting the tat emporium on Seil, one of the highlights is the "his 'n' her's" chastity belts displayed on a wall with absolutely no explanation near the end of the tour. :)

I had coffee aboard a FCYC boat in the basin at Bowling last Monday, 25 June. She has popped through to the west for a few days. I know her skipper through work.

Most odd. It's there (and so is Luss) if you go to this link

http://www.highlandarts.com/galleries/c ... /index.php

but not if you go through the main website.
