Kru Sport Pro light attachment

Just bought two Kru Sport Pro LJs to replace our ancient Crewsavers. Nice design, but can someone please explain what/where the 'light attachment patch' is and how one would go about attaching a light to it?

I have the same jacket although a couple of years old now, I too was puzzled by where to put the light.

In the end I e-mailed the manufacturer and they advised to use the band of material on one of the shoulders - pushing the locating tag for the light through the material. You obviously have to break open the zip to get at it.

For the life of me can't remember if it was left or right shoulder and I'm in Essex - LJ's on the the boat in Barcaldine can have a look next week if you're not in a hurry.

Thanks for that - I guess it doesn't matter which one you use, left or right, but yes, please do drop me a line after you've been back on the boat. What type of light did you attache and did it seem pretty secure?

Because the light had to go inside the cover went for smallest I could get - chose the Aquaspec AQ98.

Can be seen here www.aquaspec.co.uk - - available lots of places.

Despite it's size - as it's used by the MOD somewhat reassured me.

Will advise when I'm back on the boat exactly where it's secured to the jacket.

My LJ light is on the right although I guess you could put it on the left if you prefer.

The top of the securing clip on the light goes over the top then behind the strap (patch ?) and the bottom part of the clip passes through a very small cut (I made on the manufacturers recommendation) The cut is just sufficient to take the width of the clip and it's clear of the hem of the strap so does not affect it's integrity and the light's clip once fitted does not present any sharp edges to damage the bladder.

I did consider bunching the strap into the clip but it was not very elegant or I thought as efficient a solution as making the small cut.

During my usual pre-season check of the jacket I took some photo's to illustrate how it's fitted.
