Well, I have never seen Claymore's Claymore Clamore, but I have seen Claymore's Gem Micro Patriot.
We were parking at the Wardens today and there was I on the foredeck with a rope giving my crew chance to drive when I saw a boat with Patriot on it. I hope we don't cock this up thinks I. Inevitably we had a learning experience. One of those situations where things start to go pear shaped and go down hill fast from there. He usually does a much better job when I'm not there I'm told.
I managed to leap onto the finger but the gap was widening and I ended up in the water, to be more acurate, clinging for grim death to the guard rail with water up to my belly in a most undignified way.
Nothing hurt but pride and no boats were damaged, not even Patriot in the berth next to where I went in.
I went and said hello when we were tied up and I had stopped dripping.
I wonder if he finished composing the post that he was refining as we chatted? Something about a water temperature test was being worked in to it was mentioned.
Another glorious W/E on Windermere and the rain watered the garden while we were off, result.
You don't get a second chance at first impressions.

I would say you were, as it turned out, damned lucky to have had this escapade reported with Claymore's finely honed observational skill. It is a fact that he will have missed nothing and you can be sure that your entrance will be regaled in company for years to come.
Possibly it will earn his Lordship a few drams on a cold winter evening..... I for one will sit at his feet agog.

I have come to realise that part of telling a good tale is to flower it up a bit. Ferexample, a Centaur doing 4.5 Kts is unheard of, I admit it felt like 6.5 Kts but it was probably 1.5 to 2. The gap was spot on though, last time I looked I was 5'7" but I was <11 stone then too.
