Re: Wanna buy a Marina?
Motorhome Stop - Don't expect it would be a traditional campsite as you imagine it but a simple 'Aire' which is basically a parking bay of a suitable size with some services provided for a fee. Easy to make the rules that no outside seating or cooking to take place so doesn't need to be any more imp...

Re: Charged For Harassing A Pod of Dolphins
Well I have seen a pod of dolphins being harassed just off Dorhus Mohr. To my shame I did nothing Rib with kids thinking it was great fun . Saw RIB later at Ardfern still said nothing shame on me. Not in any doubt what took place. Disappointing that some that have not personally seen it think it doe...

Re: Marine survey Clyde area
I have used Tony at Open Waters Marine Surveyors a couple of times and found him easy to talk to and he was happy for me to be their and discuss any findings. As to costs I think it is size related and probably in the £50 - £60/m.

Re: The Old Forge, Inverie
Anyone know what happened to Cafe Canna? Heard the couple there were selling up.
They were advertising for 'enthusiastic staff' in March but of course they could still be looking to sell.

Re: Value of winter boat cover ?
I was thinking that as well but didn't really have a clue. At the end of the day it is only worth what someone will pay and that the cost of brand new cover will have little bearing on that. Came with a boat I bought and brought back from the Netherlands where they tend to do winter covers more than...

Value of winter boat cover ?
Hi All, I have an overall winter cover for a Beneteau 473 that came with previous bout. I never used it although it is used but in good condition. I need to make space and will try to sell later this year when the lock down is over. Has anybody a clue as to how to value it ? I have absolutely no ide...

Re: A riddle
The water level will go down? My theory late on a Friday night is - On deck the weight of the anchor, say 20kg, will displace 20 litre of water. When dropped it will displace less than that because it is denser than water so occupies less volume so the water level will go down. If it was a useless a...

33Kg Rocna Anchor
I have a 33kg Rocna anchor for sale. Bought in 2015 from Ardfern. Don't think it's been in the water more than 20 times although first time it was used the point lost it's galvanised at the very tip. Photos on request. Currently in Dumfries but can deliver to Clyde area or Glasgow. £550
