The new marina has been open a while now and as predicted is doing well, it is busy during the summer and we see a wide variety of boats from far and wide, a lot of people are using it to rest up for a day or two and it also good for picking and dropping off crew as it has the railway station close ...

I grew up in Campbeltown, and the road did used to cross the runway at the end near the civilian terminal, couldn't say if it still does. Used to love watching the planes take off in front of the cars.
