I can now confirm Ranza moorings not yet in place but holding very good.
Lamlash in place but no pick ups.

Does anyone know if the visitor moorings are in place at Ranza and Lamlash.

Jura Hotel have opened excellent toilet, shower and laundry facilities available to those using the moorings.

I can now answer the second part. The new Gigha moorings are in place (23). The new landing stage and pontoons are still work in progress and I was advised that completion is likely to be September. The new mooring layout still leaves sufficient room for anchoring in the southern part of the bay. Sh...

As the OP I can now answer the first part of this myself.
Port Ellen now has smart new pontoons accommodating up to 20 visitors.
The old pontoons have been moved east and have space for another 12.

Easter Moorings
Heard that Campbeltown is currently "work in progress" so probably not viable for a stop over on circuit of Aran this Easter. Are the Carradale moorings in place and how many are there?

Having visited this week I can report that nothing has changed. Big disappointment and again Welcome Achorages has incorrect information. When we will they stop publishing ideas rather than facts?

I have AIS aerial on pushpit and regularly pick up contacts at 25M. Great bit of kit and I would like to upgrade to transmitter but costs still prohibitive, for me anyway.

I understand work has now started with dredging and that it is planned to be open with visitor pontoons by Easter, can anyone confirm this ?
