Hi Derek I used single line reefing on Wild Cat which had a small main sail and used blocks at the clew and tack as friction is your enemy. It worked fine but I prefer Marlins two rope system (one clew, one tack). Okay it uses two more jammer's but its fast and all from the the safety of the cockpit...

I used to use this website as an easy portal for weather, tides, webcams etc but recently it seems to have gone. Anyone know whats happened?

Just back from Islay and spent a couple of nights in Port Ellen. V.g. pontoons - good depth even for large boats, free electricity and very reasonable price. All in all a very pleasant visit.
