Aberdour Marine
Since writing my History of the Colvic Watson Motor Sailer which included a section on the 'Veracity Class' built by Aberdour Marine some new research has turned up some additional interesting information. My previous research shows only Two of the Colvic Watson 'Veracity class' were ever built by A...

Re: When should a sacrificial anode be changed?
When should a sacrificial anode be changed? Ours still has its basic shape, a bit pitted, but still has plenty of surface area. Yet, I've seen people to replace them at about that stage. Re: Colvic Watson Jura 35 & Veracity 35 Motor Sailers
why don't you call around some of the marine surveyors (Maitland Murray, Survey one, Fraser Noble etc) as one of them is bound to have been involved if there was a big insurance claim. they may also have been involved in surveying them when they changed hands :D Hi Gardenshed Many thanks for your s...

Re: Colvic Watson Jura 35 & Veracity 35 Motor Sailers
I have recieved a report that a Colvic Watson Jura 35 class Motor sailer blew up blowing the deck and wheelhouse off and then caught fire above no 4 lock on the Crinan canal (southern end) and later sank a few years ago. It is my beliefe that this was the Maid of Jura and not the Pride of Jura as re...

Re: Colvic Watson Jura 35 & Veracity 35 Motor Sailers
Star of Jura was on Charter from Rhu in the early 1980's - I chartered her for a week. Pride of Jura was berthed for a while in the mid 80's in Skipool, Fleetwood. She was then sold and renovated somewhere in the South and was the subject of an aticle in Sailing Today Hi Claymore Thanks for the inf...
