That's not so good - it was really handy (and cheap) for takeaway coffees and bacon rolls in the morning!
Yes, I hope that they do a good job with Regattas / Scotts as it was pretty handy when the weather wasn't playing ball or I'd arrived the night before for an early departure.

Bosuns Table Cafe at Largs
Was down in Largs yesterday rigging the sails and giving the engine some new oil and filters. I popped up to get some lunch and there was a sign outside the marina office saying that the Bosuns Table is 'closed until further notice' was quite surprised as it was open two weeks ago when I had the boa...

Another
for ZincSmart from me - great service and seems to be a good quality product. I had the bonus that I just found a couple of sets in the garage that I ordered a couple of years ago - so they are going on before launch tomorrow

Re: Bad news from Sanda
Looking on TOP there may be hope. It looks like it is open, but they are still trying to sort the license out so it's BYO at the moment, has anybody stopped by there recently - C_W perhaps?

Re: Helicopter Rescue Today
Sounds like all was well in the end and good work for helping out! And I agree completely about the great work that the Coastguard and the RNLI do.

Helicopter Rescue Today
Caught some VHF traffic this afternoon (I think around 1630) between Clyde CG and Rescue 177 (the SAR helicopter from Prestwick) - I didn't catch what the nature of the rescue was but it mentioned that 'Yacht Shard' was shortly to be on scene to give a report?? Anybody know what was going on?

Re: Rough Today
We left Rothesay about 10.00 Sunday along with a good fleet of boats heading for Kip and beyond. Like the others expected it to blow strong in morning and easy in afternoon so did not plan early rise, however when did look out saw the flag on the castle mainly hanging, my wind guide for Rothesay. Rough Today
Just back from Rothesay - it was blowing a bit out in Skelmorlie channel. Not where I wanted to be in my 20' Colvic with a hangover getting rolled around
Good night though, the place was heaving with the Highland Games on yesterday.

Re: Port Bannanyyne visit
Thanks for that. As I was planning on a couple of days visit I decided to go for Rothesay instead so that I could get some leccy and water - where I am posting from right now in fact!

Hi,
How is Port Bannatyne coming along? Are there many pontoons installed, do they have power and water on them yet?

Hi, Been lurking on here a while, so thought I should step up and introduce myself! Recently moved my wee 20' Colvic Watson Motorsailer 'Aspen' through from the east, by way of the F&C Canal and have been enjoying exploring the Clyde. Planning to get some proper crusing in leaving next Wednesday...
