Re: RIP Cruiser Uno :(
That time is coming again! As a fan of Uno too, I was hoping there might be another alternative. From what I can gather, the Uno EU isn’t up to much compared to the classic formula. There’s praise online for the Hempel Tiger - https://www.marinesuperstore.com/paint-cleaners-care/antifoul/hempel-tige...
Re: 1984
It’s a long time since I’ve read 1984 but it’s a story that’s always stuck with me. What surprises me most is how it becomes more relevant every decade. The parallels now are most striking when so much political and topical debate is reduced to the equivalent of the two-minute hate: focused but unqu...

Re: Gael Force own brand anti fouling paint
A friend of mine has used it before and wasn't particularly complimentary about it, I am of the opinion it is better to spend that bit more.

I much prefer Southampton and Cowes week, not a fan of the London one.

Re: Christmas over, still snowing
I must admit that I have long forgotten what snow looks like! I believe that the last time we saw snow on the south coast of England was all the way back in 2013. I’d have thought you had enough misery to put up with living down there you poor man. It certainly has its 'testing' moments but there a...

Re: internet guru please.
It's all very complicated. The number of times a week I get an email from "Apple" or my bank, only to see the email address from fake@clearlyfake.com is deeply worrying. I'm afraid in my old age that it might only take one lapse in concentration to do something really foolish, like hand ov...

I read this last year year and enjoyed it very much. A very clever vision of life after the apocalypse.

Re: It seemed like a good idea at the time!
I was there on the final weekend. What did you think marisca? I was on the hunt for some technical clothing and managed to find a good deal on a jacket from Marine Super Store. I went once before many years ago - it has certainly come along way since then!

Re: Sail of the Century!
I saw this story a couple of weeks ago. I think it is fantastic that she wanted it to go to someone with a love of sailing rather than the highest bidder (although in the end it seems she made a nice profit anyway!)
