There are many different standards for electronic books, and it is not yet clear which ones will become established in the long term. We have decided to make our e-texts available only in standard HTML for the moment. This can be read on screen, saved to your hard drive or converted for use on your PDA.
We will also be making some of these titles available as zip files for easy download. All titles are formatted for clear, easy reading in a framed layout with the index on the right . They are useable at most screen resolutions.
Several companies pioneering e-books have given up in disgust because of the failure of the industry to agree a common standard. We will continue to make our e-texts available in this easy to read HTML format until such time as standards become clearer, at which point we will also be making titles available in other popular formats.
